Vaibhav Khandelwal is the Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer of Shadowfax, India’s largest on-demand crowdsourced 3rd party logistics platform. It is the only B2B2C platform with capabilities to serve multiple end- customer categories – quick commerce, intercity, e-commerce fulfillment and reverse logistics via a single platform.
Under his leadership, Shadowfax has been able to establish a strong identity for itself by positively disrupting the last-mile delivery ecosystem. He is pro-technology and believes that adoption of smarter technologies can solve complex business and societal problems. Shadowfax deploys tech-enabled solutions like ML and AI to offer supply that keeps pace with demand in the fast-growing and challenging last mile ecosystem, ensuring a wonderful end-user experience.
Shadowfax has, till date, provided earning opportunities to 2Mn+ youth in the country via its micro-entrepreneurship model since 2015. On the back of a fast-growing base of 1.5 Lakhs + monthly transacting delivery partners, Shadowfax delivers 15 L + orders daily in 9500+ pin codes across 1100 + towns and serving 50K + merchants.
Prior to founding Shadowfax, he conducted extensive research in the field of Machine Learning and Human Computer Interactions (HCI). His work on social learning networks during my internship at Adobe Advanced Research Labs, Bangalore got recognized in the form of Patent. He had co authored a paper on Rough Set based algorithms to detect sarcasm from tweets.
Under his direction, Shadowfax received multiple awards & Recognition such as the most prestigious winner of “Innovation in Transport Tech, 10th Aegis Graham Bell Awards 2020. Winners of Excellence in Innovation by ET Now Stars of the Industry. Award 2019. UI / UX Design Experience Award – Logistics- ShadowFax in 2022 by Quantic India. Shadowfax got recognized as ‘Future Unicorn’ at the coveted ASK Pvt. Wealth Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022.
Vaibhav received his Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Delhi in 2012.
