Sonia Thakurani has over 19 years’ experience and specializes in exploring new ideas and solutions to
enhance customer journeys and customer experience management (CXM).
Sonia has been credited with scaling competency to a 250+ member team to manage data integration
and pipelines for customer experience management. She also helped build a 35+ member team to
support visualization of Rapid Analytics Insights outcomes on advanced measurement like attribution and
customer journey analytics.
Sonia currently leads the Data Platforms team at Merkle, she is also responsible for leading development
of analytics tools that automate data analysis and auto-insights, by leveraging configurable human-
centered computing frameworks.
Sonia recently won the Women in AI Leadership Awards 2022. The award recognizes women who are
high-achievers in tech, data science leadership, and who’ve made powerful contributions in AI, along with
demonstrated expertise.
Sonia holds a master's degree in machine learning and artificial intelligence from Liverpool John Moores
University and has completed her Digital Marketing program from Harvard Extension School. She is also
Six Sigma Black belt certified.
