Dr. Rohini Srivathsa is the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft India & South Asia. In her role, she is focused on helping every customer and partner in India & South Asia realize the potential of AI through focus on business & organizational outcomes, cultural transformation, and human-centric ethics and governance.
Rohini began her career in R&D at AT&T Bell Laboratories in the US, then pivoted to a career in strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group and IBM Global Business Services (erstwhile PwC) in India and emerging markets. Her R&D and strategy experiences converged in the next phase of her career as the CTO of Janalakshmi Financial Services (now Jana Small Finance Bank), where Rohini was responsible for driving tech-driven business transformation towards financial inclusion among the urban underserved.
Rohini is passionate about diversity in all its dimensions, equity through education for all, and is an active advocate for mental well-being. She is a thought-leader, advisor and contributor to several
industry bodies, government, and academia forums and publications, such as Carnegie Mellon University ECE Department, Department of Science & Technology NM-ICPS, NASSCOM AI Advisory.
Rohini holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, earned her PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Indian School of Business (ISB) Executive Education.
