Dr. Pushker Ravindra leads the Data Analytics team at Bayer, Bangalore. His team is responsible for providing analytics solutions to some of the challenging problems in agriculture. He also leads Data Fluency, an internal skill development program, and promotes external talent development via data science trainings to students in various colleges.
Before joining Bayer, Dr. Pushker led development of next-generation sequencing data products at Genome Life Sciences, Chennai. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Fellow at Institute of Genomics, Delhi, where he developed CSIR’s first Bioinformatics product. Later, he was awarded European Commission fellowship to carry out research work at University of Miguel Hernández, Alicante, Spain for three years. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in international genomic data science journals and co-authored two book chapters.
Dr. Pushker holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur, with a PhD in Bioinformatics from University College Dublin – Ireland, and an Executive General Management from Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore.
