Nataraju is the Director, Data Science and Engineering at Walmart Global Tech. He leads the function of data science and software engineering for Global Marketplace and Walmart Fulfilment Services and drives growth for marketplace sellers.

In his current role, Nataraju is formulating technology strategy, developing cutting-edge software and AI products, shaping high-performance teams and working with global organization cultures. With over 18 years of experience in organizations such as Bosch and General Motors, he has built a strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence delivery, product development and consulting for a wide range of industry verticals.

Nataraju is passionate about combining domain know-how and numerical analysis for real-world applications. He holds an in-depth knowledge of statistics, machine Learning, deep learning, NLP and compute infrastructure. He has filed six international patents (three grants till date), published over 10 peer-reviewed papers. As a thought leader, he has driven projects in collaboration with academic and research institutes.

Nataraju has completed his executive education in Product Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He also has an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka.
