Gaurav is a certified business consultant and data scientist from Carnegie Mellon
University and has an engineering degree from KIIT University with 8+ years of retail
and financial analytics experience. He has worked in a variety of roles with different
global MNCs such as Wipro, Fidelity Investments and Harman Connected Services.
Working with the largest retailer in the world, he designed a promotion
recommendation engine which was used to optimize the promotion budget and
increase the incremental volumes for one of the biggest categories. He managed all
aspects of product portfolio offerings: requirement gathering, primary research,
strategy formulation, conceptualization & sales support to build long term sustainable
business opportunity. He has worked on Segmentation Models for a US Retailer –
Retail sales driver analysis for one of the popular mid-size retailers in the US-
Determined the potential retail sales drivers (Regression Analysis) . Engaging with
Fidelity Investments, he has built a Capacity Planning Engine which managed the
headcount and optimal book of business for Client Service Managers through
demand supply process across the US markets. He was responsible for designing
Business Requirement Specifications that successfully delivered necessary change
in a manageable and non-intrusive way.
Currently, he is working as Senior General Manager and Business Head- Data
Sciences in Times Group. He works with clients on initiatives involving global
delivery teams and that are aimed at significant productivity and financial
improvement. He helped customers to design Analytics training framework for end-to
end data management, marketing mix modelling and insights generation. He
engages with customers for requirement gathering, analysing current state and
proposed the training framework.
