With his prior experience as an entrepreneur and business consultant, Winny Patro
transformed a low performing Govt funded organization into a very high performing in
less than one year. He is known for his commendable effort in launching and
spearheading a successful initiative called ‘LEAP – Look for Employees in Andhra
Pradesh’ which facilitated in attracting companies to Andhra Pradesh for mutual
employment opportunities.
Prior to joining the Govt of Andhra Pradesh, Patro co-founded 3 ventures in
digital/e-commerce space and mentored 5+ startup founders. Alongside
entrepreneurship, he spearheaded consulting projects in setting up and scaling up of
e-commerce businesses for medium-large size retailers in fashion and sport goods.
Besides these, Winny Patro is a passionate coach. He mentors many students in
technology, management and entrepreneurship related areas. He is also a Guest
faculty on E-commerce & Modern Online Branding/Marketing at Institutes like IIM-Indore
(Mumbai Campus), IIIT Gwalior, GSIB, etc
He graduated from IIM Calcutta with 2 year full time MBA along with the certificate of
appreciation for providing free consultancy services to NGOs in West Bengal. After
IIM-Cal, he joined as Vice President at a market research consulting firm where he
signed important MOUs with International chambers of various countries.
Prior to MBA, he founded an NGO, Generation Zaagruthi, which works towards
developing life skills among under privileged children. He has a degree in Electronics &
Instrumentation Engineering with accomplishments in the field of Bio-Medical
Instrumentation.S
