Amrit is a business, sales and marketing leader experienced in driving transformation across categories (personal products, skin care, beverages, sports), countries (emerging – developed) and cultures (multinational – entrepreneur led) through a bold but inspiring – inclusive leadership style.
He is a seasoned FMCG executive with deep sales, marketing, and general management experience. He has spent 13 years with Diageo and 16 years with Hindustan Unilever. At
Diageo, Amrit drove Digital and Marketing transformation as the Chief Marketing Officer of Diageo Europe and prior to that as the Chief Marketing Officer for Diageo India. At Hindustan Unilever, he led the Western Region Personal Product Sales organization as Regional Sales Manager, he led a Direct-to-Consumer Start-Up Venture, as General Manager, setting up and scaling phone-commerce home delivery service, and in his last role at HUL – he led the Beverages Business as Category Head. Most recently, his last role was as CEO, Strategic Advisor, and Investor for a retail-tech Start-Up.
Amrit has also been involved with the Sports Franchise Industry for a decade, initially as the CMO for Royal Challengers Sports Pvt. Ltd. (a leading sports franchise in India) and subsequently as the Chairman.
Amrit is skilled in business strategy development, leading sales organizations, designing and transforming sales processes, driving sales – marketing – innovation and digital transformation for CPG categories, leading marketing-customer marketing organization effectiveness design & implementation, end to end sales-marketing-innovation planning and execution. Amrit has led diverse teams dispersed across multiple geographies. Amrit has an inclusive style with fit for purpose emphasis on both tasks and people, strategy and execution, outcomes, and process.
Amrit has completed his Post Graduate Certification in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bath – UK. And is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
