Based in Bangalore, India, Puneet Talwar is Vice President for Data Science and Analytics at TransUnion, a global information and insights company that operates in more than 30 countries. He is a pioneering technology leader and has over 28 years’ experience in quantitative modelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, risk management, financial services and computing.

Puneet has led several technology teams globally and delivered innovative solutions and products with data analytics. Prior to joining TransUnion he was the Executive Director, Quantitative Modelling at JPMorganChase where he spearheaded several cutting-edge technology projects and delivered high impact results.

Prior to his time at JPMorganChase, he was the CEO for CARE Risk Solutions Pvt Ltd, a specialized risk technology company, where he expanded the business into multiple markets. Prior to that he was the FSS leader at IBM, where led several projects in BFSI for enterprise risk management using advanced analytics and Big Data. Puneet has also worked at Wipro, FICO (originally known as Fair Isaac, a US data analytics company), CIBC, KPMG and L&T.

He holds an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, Canada, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He also holds a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
