Varun Aggarwal is a Vice President for Analytics at EXL. In his current role, he heads predictive modeling and advanced  analytics for Banking Analytics practice. He is an alumnus of Delhi School of Economics. With over 16 years of experience  in consulting, advanced analytics, and AI, he has solved complex problems for Fortune 500 companies across banking,  telecom, and utility sectors. He has led designing and development of AI and ML powered new age solutions for business  problems including, but not limited to, credit risk underwriting, customer churn management, credit loss forecasting,  fraud detection, campaign response modeling, marketing mix optimization, cross-sell strategy planning, and customer  segmentation. Varun is a seasoned thought leader and an avid speaker at industry events focused on data analytics and AI. He pioneered research on AI and machine learning at EXL more than a decade ago when he led a team of 20 data scientists  to finish among the top 3 winners in the Heritage Health Prize competition with 1600+ teams participating globally.  Over the years, he has authored more than 10 research papers and whitepapers, presented at various international data  analytics, AI and machine learning conferences facilitated by organizers such as New York SAS Users Group, IIM Ahmedabad, and Analytics India Magazine. Varun leads a team of 300+ data scientists and has led the development of multiple analytics products to solve real  business problems and generate significant value for his clients. He has won more than 5 prestigious awards at EXL and  2 industry awards for his contributions to innovation and intellectual capital development.
