Sharmistha Chatterjee is Vice President, Data & AI/ML Shared Capabilities, Digital Workplace (based out of Bangalore), responsible for the data strategy across Digital Workplace, expanding data analytics capabilities, advancing data governance, evolving Digital Workplace AI/ML platforms. Sharmistha has 20+ years of experience in research, putting scalable AI solutions into production, and bridging the gap between theory and practice. She co-authored two books "Platform and Model Design on Responsible AI", published in 2023 and "Revolutionizing Youth Mental Health with Ethical AI", published in 2025. She has been recognized by Analytics India magazine as 40 under 40 Data Scientists honour. She is also a 2X Google Developer Expert in Cloud and AI. Prior to American express, she was the Senior Vice president in Commonwealth Bank of Australia leading Advanced Analytics and ML Operations and led a large team building capabilities for technical initiatives for Data Platforms, ML Operations and Pega decisioning systems.
