Prashant Pitti is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of EaseMyTrip, India’s leading travel-tech platform. He is a serial entrepreneur and has been in the travel industry for over a decade. Prashant has been instrumental in the growth of EaseMyTrip, which has become one of the most successful online travel companies in India. Under his strong leadership, the company went public in March 2021 without any external funding, a feat that very few Indian startups received. An alumnus of IIT Madras, Pitti began his career with Capital One and HSBC Bank in the US, before coming back to India and taking on the entrepreneurial path. His first successful venture was NearGroup, a geo-based social networking app that reached over 63 million users globally, emphasizing his ability to build and scale consumer digital platforms. At EaseMyTrip, Prashant is the strategic force for the brand and leads business units like: strategic marketing, mergers & acquisitions, investor relations, integrated corporate communications and public relations. Prashant’s business philosophy focuses on fostering long-term employee development, maintaining frugality, and playing the long game. Away from the boardroom, Prashant is invested in the public good and civic innovation. He continues to feature on numerous thought leadership podcasts, panels, and business media where he promotes curiosity-driven entrepreneurship, ethical business, and sustainable scaling.
