Debapratim is leading multiple cross functional Data Science teams at Maybank Offshore Development Centre as Vice President and Head of Data Science. He has 19 years of experience in Banking and Analytics domain. Deb’s experience encompasses quantitative risk management, treasury management and digital banking. Deb has worked in the area of quantitative analytics and machine learning across organizations like PNB Gilts, Oracle, KPMG, Infosys, TCS and Maybank. Deb works at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and computer programming to create strategic and business value. Deb and his team specializes in making live in production, machine learning embedded interactive software, running on Big Data clusters. Deb is an alumni of MIT Professional Education program and a member of Data Centre & Analytics Lab (DCAL) a centre of excellence in analytics set up by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Deb loves to write algorithm codes and is passionate about “Explainable AI” and application of AI to transform financial services for wealth creation.
