Avik is currently Head of Engineering at Julia Computing and has been a key contributor to the Julia ecosystem for 5+ years. He has worked on risk and trading systems in investment banking for many years, mostly using Java interspersed with snippets of the exotic R and K languages. Avik also has a wealth of experience in the artificial intelligence space, where he has applied machine learning algorithms to financial research and trading.
